The Walker family may have one familiar member. We photographed Kylie's senior photos earlier this year. Strangely their young son is named Gavin Cole....which is actually the two names of our children....interesting coincidence. We had a really fun time and got some great shots. Below are a few of our favorites.

Nicole and Jake will be getting married next year. Nicole was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding we photographed earlier this year. She had the inside information on our style and working with us after that wedding. We escaped to the Botanical Center and took some fun shots indoors and out. Below are a few of our favorites.

Baby photo shoots are always fun. And it's always best if the babies cooperate. Ashley photographed little Connor, the newest edition to the family. Connor is the son of Aaron and Amanda Nuzum. Aaron is my cousin and this is their first child. Congratulations to Aaron, Amanda, and Connor!

Devon is a senior at Van Meter. We were out battling the wind but were still able to get our shots. Devon had some great ideas and we were able to turn out some great shots. Congratulations Devon!

The Slycord Family turned out to be one of the more interesting photo shoots we have done in a while. We headed out down dirt roads in Dallas and Madison counties. The Slycord's took us to a small suspension bridge that was an excellent location. What turned out to not be excellent was the weather. Nice in the morning then it was quite windy in the afternoon and the winds came flying across a large field. Iowa....

Erin and family contacted us to take some shots of their family. We ideally wanted to take some shots at their home. However, the sun wasn't cooperating and the best locations didn't work out. So we took off for the Saylorville visitors center and were able to take some shots their.
Elisa and Justin recently married. They returned and wanted to get some post wedding pictures done. We started in the studio and took some shots, but we really wanted to out and take some outdoor shots. The weather was pretty cool but the pictures don't show it. Below are a few of our favorites shots. Congratulations Elisa and Justin!

Our son Cole will be turning two in November. It is hard to believe how fast the time has gone. I remember long ago when my parents told me this would happen, but I didn't believe them. Now I understand. Time goes too fast and we can never rewind time. All we have are our memories. They are the most valuable things in the world. TAKE PICTURES! They will help the mind relive the most important times. Grab a digital, a film, or a one-time use camera...whatever it takes. Just take pictures. Keep those moments forever. Happy Birthday Cole!

A couple weeks ago Ashley and I had the great pleasure to photograph Taunie and Toby's wedding at the Botanical Center in Des Moines. These two had a great wedding party and they were a ton of fun. We were pushing them to take some fun shots and they responded great. The guys were some of the best I've worked with. Congratulations Taunie and Toby!

Nikki and Mark will be getting married next year. We wanted to get the engagement shoot in before the new year. Mother nature wasn't up for it. With winds gusting over 40 mph we had to move inside. Although I still pressed them to do some shots out in the weather, they were great through out the entire shoot!

Below are a few shots from a recent family photo shoot. We photographed at a school playground not to far from where we live. Playgrounds are always a little challenging but we had a great time. Below are some of our favorite shots.

Over the last couple weeks Ashley has completed two different maternity shoots. Brittany had a baby girl and Melissa is expecting a baby boy. Below are some shots of Brittany and new big brother Jose. Also below are some shots of Melissa. Congratulations to both!

Allanah is a senior at the high school that I graduated from. She even knows some of my family that still goes to school there. Allanah has a great personality and was easy to photograph. We had a great time. She even took some shots with her entourage. Below are a few of our favorite shots. Congratulations Allanah!

Anna is a 2009 senior. We decided that the cold was too much so we shot some quasi-outdoor photos at the Botanical Center. Anna was a lot of fun to work with and below are a few of our favorites shots. Congratulations Anna!

We fought the cold and everyone was great. Even with the cold temperatures the young kids and adults did a great job. It could have been a lot worse!
Ashley and I were privileged to be able to photograph Megan and Mark's wedding on November 1st. These two are a great example of "sometimes things will happen on your wedding day." But they took it in stride and had a fantastic event. We had a really fun time. Both of them, as well as their wedding party, were willing to do some fun shots and be a little creative with us. Below are just a few of our favorites. Congratulations Megan and Mark!
