Amelia

Yet another late post from back in April...my list of back posts is down to like 20 though...Ashley photographed Amelia back in April. As you will be able to tell from the photos below, she was quiet at first and not sure what to think. She did warm up and Ashley was able to capture some great shots. Even the ones where she is being more serious turned out great. They tell a different side of Amelia. It is great to tell a well rounded story of little ones. The most important thing is to capture them exactly as they are. Props overwhelm photos and take away from the subject, the person or people in them. The less the better. There is chaos and noise everywhere and from that a photo must extract meaning and purpose. To use a bunch of props only introduces noise and distraction. That being said, simple props can tell a great story when used correctly. If we just have some picnic setting, park setting, or other generic setup that we take everyones photos in...boring. Focus on the subject.
