Taking photos of newborns can be challenging enough. Taking photos of newborns with older siblings is a whole new ball game...with no rules. Ashley has been very into high key, black and white, on white background photos as of late and this fit that bill. Check out a few of Ashley's favorites from Haley and Jackson's photo shoot.

Way behind on the blog ... things are slowing down now so expect many more posts as we are about 40-50 shoots behind. . . yikes. Check out these photos of the G Family. These were taken in Valley Junction in West Des Moines. We have definitely made it known that we like to shoot in this area for it's vast array of backgrounds. It's a fairly popular place with local photographers, some even exclusively shoot there. Not sure why, but it is a good location. Photographing little kids of any age is a lot like rolling a dice on top of a mountain. Eventually the dice hits the ground and stops moving. Which side is facing up, is all to chance. But we wouldn't have it any other way. it's not uncommon for us to run and play with kids as we shoot. In fact it's pretty common. We really love what we do.

Our photo shoots have a few simple rules. 1. Enjoy the experience. 2. No injuries. 3. No crying. The photos will take care of themselves if we follow those three rules.
